Laloo Kumar, 12 years old (id: 41.)

Shanti has four younger sisters and one younger brother. Her father works in a silk-weaver workshop and the whole income of the family is around 2000 rupee (30 EUR).

She is in the 10th year in the school and because of her family’s financial situation she will have to stop her studies soon and she will have to get married.

Seeta has three younger sisters and two younger brothers. Unfortunately her 11 year old brother has to work for 2 years with their father in a silk-weaver workshop. The whole income of the family is around 2000 rupee (30 EUR).

She is in the 7th year in the school and because of her family’s financial situation she will have to stop her studies and most probably she has to get married very soon.

Fiza Bano, 20 years old (id.: 44.)

Fiza is the oldest daughter of a very big weavers family in Varanasi. The family is very committed to studies and although they are poor Fiza could finish a high school with excelent result. Fiza was succesful in the entrance exam of the  Agrasen Kanya Post Graduate College, but his family can not afford the expenses of a College.

Jheel Sharma, 3 years old (id.: 45.)

Jheel only 3 years old, but she has to start his study in a ’play-school’ because it gives a chance for him to attend a better school latter. Jheel lives in a five-membered poor family in Varanasi. His father is a shop assistant in a pharmacy. The whole income of the family is around 3000 rupee (66 USD) per month.
