Rekha Yadav, 14 years old (id.: 51.)

Rekha lives in a six-membered, very poor family in a village. Her parents work as a farmer, the whole income of the family is maximum 2500 rupee (55 USD) per month.

Rekha would like to start the ninth class in this year and she is a very good student, but the dry weather and recent droughts make their life insecure. Without help he won’t be able to continue his studies.

Sona Patel, 11 years old (id.: 52.)

Sona lives in a very poor family in a village with her mother and two younger brothers. Her father died very young. Her mother works as an agricultural worker and labourer. The whole income of the family is only 1500 rupee (33 USD) per month.

Sona would like to start the sixth class in this year, but due to the economic situation soon she will have to stop her studies because her parents won’t be able to pay it and she will have to get married soon.

Aman Yadav, 6 years old (id.: 53.)

Aman family is poor. All 4 of them live in a small room. His father is a rickshaw driver, but he has to rent his rickshaw which is very expensive. Income of the whole family per month is 3000 - 5000 rupee (66 – 100 USD).

Aman is an excellent student in a pre-school institute, but the familiy can not pay the school fee of a better school. If we can not find a supporter for him, he can go to a very bad goverenment school only.

Shiv Mohan, 11 years old (id.: 54.)

Shiv lives in a six-membered, very poor ”untouchable” family in a village. Her father works in a silk workshop. The whole income of the family is only 1800 rupee (40 USD) per month.

Shiv would like to start the sixth class in this year, but the family can not afford the costs of his studies, so he will have to give up his studies and he will have to work  soon.

Ashis lives in a six-membered, very poor family in a village. Her father works in a silk workshop. The whole income of the family is only 2000 rupee (44 USD) per month.

Ashis would like to start the sixth class in this year, but due to the economic situation soon he will have to stop his studies because his parents won’t be able to pay it and most probably he will have to work soon.
